Qualaroo
Qualaroo is a customer feedback and survey (nudge) platform for gathering targeted, in-app user feedback and NPS-style responses. Its REST Reporting API returns survey definitions and collected responses in JSON, letting you pull respondent data such as answers, custom properties, and page metadata into downstream systems.

Power end-to-end data operations for your Qualaroo API with Nexla. Our bi-directional Qualaroo connector is purpose-built for Qualaroo, making it simple to ingest data, sync it across systems, and deliver it anywhere — all with no coding required. Nexla turns API-sourced data into ready-to-use, reusable data products and makes it easy to send data to Qualaroo or any other destination. Prerequisites
Before creating a Qualaroo credential, you need the Reporting API key and API secret from your Qualaroo account. Qualaroo's REST Reporting API uses HTTP Basic Authentication over SSL, sending the API key as the username and the API secret as the password.
To obtain your Qualaroo Reporting API credentials, follow these steps:
-
Sign in to your Qualaroo account at https://app.qualaroo.com.
-
Click your User ID in the top-right corner of the Qualaroo dashboard.
-
Select Account Details from the menu.
-
Scroll to the Reporting API section, where the API Key and API Secret are displayed.
-
Copy both values and store them securely, as you will need them to configure your Nexla credential.
For complete information about the Qualaroo REST Reporting API, its authentication requirements, and available parameters, see the Qualaroo REST Reporting API documentation.
Authenticate
Credentials required
| Field | Required | Secret | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| API Key | Yes | Yes | Reporting API key, found in the API section of your Qualaroo account page. |
| API Secret | Yes | Yes | Reporting API secret, found alongside the API key in your Qualaroo account page. |
Create a credential in Nexla
-
After selecting the data source type, click the Add Credential tile to open the Add New Credential overlay.
-
Enter a name for the credential in the Credential Name field and a short, meaningful description in the Credential Description field.
-
Enter your Reporting API key in the API Key field. This value is used as the username for HTTP Basic Authentication when Nexla connects to the Qualaroo Reporting API.
-
Enter your Reporting API secret in the API Secret field. This value is used as the password for HTTP Basic Authentication and should be kept confidential.
Requests to the Qualaroo Reporting API are made only over SSL, so your API key and secret are encrypted in transit. If either credential is compromised, generate new values from the Reporting API section of your Qualaroo account details.
-
Click the Save button at the bottom of the overlay. The newly added credential will now appear in a tile on the Authenticate screen during data source creation.
Use as a data source
To create a new data flow, navigate to the Integrate section, and click the New Data Flow button. Select the Qualaroo connector tile, then select the credential that will be used to connect to Qualaroo, and click Next; or, create a new Qualaroo credential for use in this flow.
Endpoint templates
Nexla provides pre-built templates that can be used to rapidly configure data sources to ingest data from common Qualaroo endpoints. Select the endpoint from which this source will fetch data from the Endpoint pulldown menu. Available endpoint templates are listed in the expandable boxes below.
Once the selected endpoint template has been configured, click the Test button to the right of the endpoint selection menu to retrieve a sample of the data that will be fetched. Sample data will be displayed in the Endpoint Test Result panel on the right, allowing you to verify that the source is configured correctly before saving.
Manual configuration
Qualaroo data sources can also be manually configured to ingest data from any valid Qualaroo Reporting API endpoint, including endpoints not covered by the pre-built templates, chained API calls, or custom request parameters. Select the Advanced tab at the top of the configuration screen, and follow the instructions in Connect to Any API to configure the API method, endpoint URL, date/time and lookup macros, path to data, metadata, and request headers.
Once all of the relevant settings have been configured, click the Create button in the upper right corner of the screen to save and create the new Qualaroo data source. Nexla will now begin ingesting data from the configured endpoint and will organize any data that it finds into one or more Nexsets.
