Printify

Printify is a print-on-demand platform for creating and fulfilling custom-branded products through connected e-commerce stores. Its REST API exposes shops, product blueprints, print providers, products, and orders, allowing you to sync catalog data and automate product and order operations. Nexla connects to the Printify API to ingest this data into Nexsets and to push product and order updates back to Printify.

Prerequisites

Before creating a Printify credential, you need a personal access token for your Printify account. Printify authenticates API requests with a bearer token that is sent in the Authorization header as Bearer <token>.

To obtain a personal access token, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your Printify account at printify.com, or create one if you do not already have an account.

  2. Open your account settings and navigate to My Profile > Connections, or go directly to the API tokens page at https://printify.com/app/account/api.

  3. Generate a new personal access token and select the access scopes required for your use case (for example, read and write access to shops, products, and orders).

  4. Copy the token immediately. Printify displays the token value only once, at the time it is generated, so store it in a secure location. Personal access tokens expire one year after they are created.

  5. Keep the token confidential. It grants access to your Printify account data according to the scopes you selected. If a token is compromised, revoke it from the same Connections page and generate a new one.

For detailed information about authentication, available endpoints, and API request formats, see the Printify API Documentation.

Authenticate

Credentials required

An authentication method that requires sending a unique secret token with each API request

FieldRequiredSecretDescription
API Key ValueYesYesAn encoded string value used as a secret token to authenticate API requests

Create a credential in Nexla

  1. After selecting the data source/destination type, click the Add Credential tile to open the Add New Credential overlay.

  2. Enter a name for the credential in the Credential Name field and a short, meaningful description in the Credential Description field.

  3. Enter your Printify personal access token in the API Key Value field. This is the token you generated in Prerequisites. Nexla sends this value in the Authorization header as Bearer <token> for all API requests to Printify, and it must be kept confidential.

The API Key Value is sensitive information. If your personal access token is compromised, revoke it from your Printify account Connections page and generate a new one. Printify personal access tokens also expire one year after they are created, so you will need to generate a new token and update this credential before it expires.

For detailed information about Printify authentication, available endpoints, and API request formats, see the Printify API Documentation.

  4. Click the Save button at the bottom of the overlay. The newly added credential will now appear in a tile on the Authenticate screen during data source/destination creation.

Use as a data source

To create a new data flow, navigate to the Integrate section, and click the New Data Flow button. Select the Printify connector tile, then select the credential that will be used to connect to Printify, and click Next; or, create a new Printify credential for use in this flow.
