Notification Types
This article explains the different types of notifications produced by Nexla. For more information about accessing notifications and associated settings in Nexla, see Nexla Notification Settings.
1. Notifications in the Nexla Platform
Access all unread notifications within your Nexla account by clicking the icon in the upper right corner.
Notifications can also be accessed within individual Nexsets and data sources, destinations, and flows. For more details about accessing notifications in Nexla, see Sections 2 and 3 in Nexla Notification Settings.
Each notification preview indicates whether the notification is associated with a data source, Nexset, data flow, or destination and provides information about where to view more information about the notification.
2. Platform Activity Notifications
Dataset Shared
This notification indicates that a new Nexset has been shared with the user. It is triggered each time a new Nexset is shared.
Shared Dataset Activated
This notification indicates that a Nexset shared with the user has been activated. It is triggered each time a shared Nexset is activated.
Shared Dataset Paused
This notification indicates that a Nexset shared with the user has been paused. It is triggered each time a shared Nexset is paused.
New Derived Dataset
This notification indicates that a new Nexset has been created from a Nexset shared by the user. It is triggered each time another user creates a new Nexset from a shared Nexset.
Invitee Accepted
This notification alerts the user that another user whom they have invited to use Nexla has successfully created an account on the platform. It is triggered each time an invitee successfully creates a Nexla account.
3. System Alerts
New Dataset Detected
This notification signals that a new Nexset has been detected in the indicated data source that the user has added. It is triggered each time Nexla recognizes a new Nexset from a monitored data source during its check for new files according to the selected schedule.
New Dataset Write
This notification alerts the user that a new Nexset has been written to the indicated destination. It is triggered once Nexla has completed writing the new Nexset to the destination.
Schema Change
This notification signals that one or more schema changes have been detected in the indicated Nexset. It is triggered each time a variation is detected in the schema of an existing Nexset.
4. Data Alerts
Source Data Volume Change
This notification signals that a significant change in data volume compared to that previously observed has been detected for the indicated data source.
Source Data Delayed
This notification alerts the user that data from the indicated data source has been significantly delayed compared to the normal window of arrival.
Source Data Read Error
This notification indicates that an error has occurred in reading data from the indicated data source.
Destination Data Write Error
This notification alerts the user that an error has occurred in writing data to the indicated destination.
Dataset Transform Error
This notification indicates that an error has occurred in applying a transformation to a Nexset.
Destination Transform Error
This notification indicates that an error has occurred in applying a transformation to the indicated data destination.
Source Empty File
This notification alerts the user that a file containing no data has been detected in the indicated data source.
Source Read Started
This notification signals that Nexla has begun to read data in the indicated data source.
Source Read Done
This notification indicates that Nexla has completed reading data in the indicated data source.
Destination Write Started
This notification indicates that Nexla has begun to write data to the indicated data destination.
Destination Write Done
This notification indicates that Nexla has completed writing data to the indicated data destination.
Custom Flow Data Volume Change
This notification signals that a significant change in data volume compared to that previously observed has been detected for the indicated custom data flow.
Custom Flow Data Delayed
This notification alerts the user that data from the corresponding data source in the indicated custom data flow has been significantly delayed compared to the normal window of arrival.
Custom Flow Data Read Error
This notification signals that an error has occurred in reading data from the corresponding data source in the indicated custom data flow.
Custom Flow Data Write Error
This notification signals that an error has occurred in writing data to the selected destination in the indicated custom data flow.
Custom Flow Empty File
This notification indicates that a file containing no data has been detected in the corresponding data source in the indicated custom data flow.
Custom Flow Read Started
This notification indicates that Nexla has begun reading data from the corresponding data source in the indicated custom data flow.
Custom Flow Read Done
This notification indicates that Nexla has completed reading data from the corresponding data source in the indicated custom data flow.
Custom Flow Write Started
This notification alerts the user that Nexla has begun writing data to the selected data destination in the indicated custom data flow.
Custom Flow Write Done
This notification indicates that Nexla has completed writing data to the selected data destination in the indicated custom data flow.
