Lever is a modern applicant tracking system (ATS) for recruiting and hiring. This connector uses the Lever Data API to read and write opportunities (candidates), postings, applications, interviews, feedback, notes, offers, referrals, requisitions, stages, and tags, so you can sync your hiring pipeline with the rest of your data stack.
Power end-to-end data operations for your Lever Hiring API with Nexla. Our bi-directional Lever Hiring connector is purpose-built for Lever Hiring, making it simple to ingest data, sync it across systems, and deliver it anywhere — all with no coding required. Nexla turns API-sourced data into ready-to-use, reusable data products and makes it easy to send data to Lever Hiring or any other destination. With comprehensive monitoring, lineage tracking, and access controls, Nexla keeps your Lever Hiring workflows fast, secure, and fully governed.

Before creating a Lever Hiring credential, you need a Lever API key. The Lever Data API authenticates with HTTP Basic Auth, where your API key is used as the username and the password is left blank.
To obtain your Lever API key, follow these steps:
Sign in to your Lever account with an administrator that has permission to manage integrations.
Open Settings and navigate to the Integrations and API page.
Select the API Credentials tab.
Generate a new API key. During creation, you can choose whether the key is granted access to confidential data, and you can maintain multiple active keys at once.
Copy the API key and store it securely. Lever API keys carry broad privileges, so treat the key as a secret and revoke it if it is ever exposed.
The base URL for the Lever Data API is https://api.lever.co. For more details on authentication, available resources, and response formats, see the Lever Developer Documentation.
After selecting the data source/destination type, click the Add Credential tile to open the Add New Credential overlay.
Enter a name for the credential in the Credential Name field and a short, meaningful description in the Credential Description field.
Enter your Lever API key in the API Key field. This value is used as the username for HTTP Basic Auth.
Leave the Password field blank, as required by Lever's API key authentication.
Enter the base URL for the Lever Data API in the Base URL field. Unless you have been directed to use a different host, this is https://api.lever.co.
Click the Save button at the bottom of the overlay. The newly added credential will now appear in a tile on the Authenticate screen during data source/destination creation.
Lever API keys carry many privileges. Keep the key confidential, and if it is ever exposed, revoke it on the Integrations and API page in Lever Settings and generate a new one. For more information, see the Lever Developer Documentation.
To create a new data flow, navigate to the Integrate section, and click the New Data Flow button. Select the Lever Hiring connector tile, then select the credential that will be used to connect to Lever, and click Next; or, create a new Lever Hiring credential for use in this flow.

Sample data will be displayed in the Endpoint Test Result panel on the right, allowing you to verify that the source is configured correctly before saving.
Lever Hiring data sources can also be manually configured to ingest data from any valid Lever Data API endpoint, including endpoints not covered by the pre-built templates, chained API calls, or custom request parameters. Select the Advanced tab at the top of the configuration screen, and follow the instructions in Connect to Any API to configure the API method, endpoint URL, date/time and lookup macros, path to data, metadata, and request headers.
Once all of the relevant settings have been configured, click the Create button in the upper right corner of the screen to save and create the new Lever Hiring data source. Nexla will now begin ingesting data from the configured endpoint and will organize any data that it finds into one or more Nexsets.
Click the + icon on the Nexset that will be sent to the Lever Hiring destination, and select the Send to Destination option from the menu. Select the Lever Hiring connector from the list of available destination connectors, then select the credential that will be used to connect to Lever, and click Next; or, create a new Lever Hiring credential for use in this flow.
