Klaus
Klaus (now Zendesk QA) is a conversation quality assurance and coaching platform for customer support teams. It scores agent conversations, runs AutoQA and CSAT analysis, and manages reviews, disputes, quizzes, and calibration sessions across workspaces. Nexla connects to the Klaus public export API as a REST data source, letting you ingest ratings, reviews, CSAT, users, and workspace data on a schedule.

Prerequisites
Before creating a Klaus credential, you need your Zendesk QA (Klaus) account subdomain and an API token. The Klaus export API is served under your Zendesk domain at https://<your-subdomain>.zendesk.com/qa/api/export/..., and each request is authenticated with a token passed in the Authorization header.
To obtain your API token:

Sign in to your Zendesk QA (Klaus) account as an administrator.

Click your profile icon in the top-right corner and select Settings.

In the sidebar, under Account, click Connections.

Click Add custom integration, enter a name for the connection, and select a data retention period.

After the integration is created, hover over or click the copy button next to it to reveal and copy the API token. Store this token securely, as it grants access to your Klaus data.

Note your Zendesk subdomain — the portion before
.zendesk.comin your account URL (for example,your-companyforyour-company.zendesk.com).
Zendesk QA API tokens should be treated as sensitive credentials. If a token is compromised, remove the custom integration in Zendesk QA and create a new one.

Create a credential in Nexla

After selecting the data source type, click the Add Credential tile to open the Add New Credential overlay.

Enter a name for the credential in the Credential Name field and a short, meaningful description in the Credential Description field.

Enter your Zendesk QA (Klaus) subdomain in the Zendesk Subdomain field. This is the portion before
.zendesk.comin your account URL and is used to construct the export API base URL. -
Enter your API token in the API Key Value field. This is the token you generated in Prerequisites and is sent in the
Authorizationheader on every request. -
Click the Save button at the bottom of the overlay. The newly added credential will now appear in a tile on the Authenticate screen during data source creation.
Use as a data source
To create a new data flow, navigate to the Integrate section, and click the New Data Flow button. Select the Klaus connector tile, then select the credential that will be used to connect to Klaus, and click Next; or, create a new Klaus credential for use in this flow.
Endpoint templates
Nexla provides pre-built templates that can be used to rapidly configure data sources to ingest data from common Klaus export endpoints. Select the endpoint from which this source will fetch data from the Endpoint pulldown menu. Available endpoint templates are listed in the expandable boxes below.
Once the selected endpoint template has been configured, click the Test button to the right of the endpoint selection menu to retrieve a sample of the data that will be fetched. Sample data will be displayed in the Endpoint Test Result panel on the right, allowing you to verify that the source is configured correctly before saving.
Manual configuration
Klaus data sources can also be manually configured to ingest data from any valid Klaus export API endpoint, including endpoints not covered by the pre-built templates, chained API calls, or custom request parameters. Select the Advanced tab at the top of the configuration screen, and follow the instructions in Connect to Any API to configure the API method, endpoint URL, date/time and lookup macros, path to data, metadata, and request headers.
Once all of the relevant settings have been configured, click the Create button in the upper right corner of the screen to save and create the new Klaus data source. Nexla will now begin ingesting data from the configured endpoint and will organize any data that it finds into one or more Nexsets.
